Telenoia

2017

Somewhere out there, someone is clicking on your profile, viewing your images and videos, and learning about your life. This is closely related to issues of privacy. The installation is about being cautious in an environment that is monitored and controlled by others. Unlike paranoia, telenoia suggests a move away from anxiety and fear in the face of the increasing integration of corporate information technologies with the human body. Touching an image is a physiological response in cyberspace and, consequently, touching someone else’s virtual body.
