Bone

2017

I wanted to hang a big picture printed on a vinyl banner in an urban space. I thought that wind would quickly tear it apart. I was thinking about this issue and listening to “Dead Editors” by Massive Attack when the singer sang “Tapestry, I see tapestry,” it occurred to me to cut the picture into ribbons and weave them so that wind could pass through its warp and woof. While I was weaving, I thought how this could help my series. I finally decided to use it for another project. In this series, I shot my subjects, and, with the help of an animator, I made the future of the photos as I imagined them. Then I weaved the two images in the same way.
